Viaje Rentable Pasajeros Terms

Conditions for requesting trips from the app

1. Parties and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Viaje Rentable Pasajeros app (com.viajerentable.passenger). They are an agreement between you and Viaje Rentable:

The service is provided by Viaje Rentable, the trade name of its sole owner, CUIT 23-39066620-9, Irala 106, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Email: contacto@viajerentable.com.ar.

By using the app you accept them. Drive mode and the profitability tool have their own terms.

2. The service

The app lets you request trips from drivers who work with Viaje Rentable's drive mode. Viaje Rentable provides a technology intermediation service and does not provide transport services: the driver makes the trip, with their vehicle. They are an independent driver, not an employee of Viaje Rentable, and they answer for the transport. The service works only in the enabled areas the app shows.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or older to have an account and request trips. A minor under 18 may not use the app or travel alone on a trip requested with someone else's account.

You sign in with your Google account and, to request trips, you verify your mobile number with an SMS. Your account is personal and non-transferable, you may have only one, your profile data must be true and you are responsible for what is done with it. Verifying your identity is optional; the driver sees whether you did.

4. Requesting and cancelling a trip

  • Before requesting you see a fare quote. To request you must be near the pickup, and you can have only one open trip at a time.
  • We look for an available driver, but we cannot promise that there will be one or an arrival time. If we find none, we cancel the search at no cost.
  • The driver may write to you through the app's chat to coordinate the trip.
  • You can cancel while we look for a driver and until the trip starts; once in progress it cannot be cancelled. Today cancelling has no cost, and neither does a cancellation by the driver.
  • You can ask for a change of stops or destination; if the driver accepts it, the fare is recalculated.

5. Fare and payment

Viaje Rentable calculates the fare with the current tariff of the area and category. The final fare may differ from the quote depending on the actual route, tolls and the driver's waiting at the pickup; the app shows you its breakdown.

You pay in cash or by transfer, directly to the driver: Viaje Rentable does not collect or receive that money and does not ask for your card details. Until the driver confirms the payment you may not be able to request another trip, and if they report that they did not receive it, we may block your account while we review it.

Viaje Rentable charges you nothing for using the app and no commission per trip. The driver must give you the receipt or invoice for the trip.

6. Conduct

You agree to:

  • Treat the driver with respect, without harassing or discriminating against anyone.
  • Not carry weapons or dangerous items, and not do anything illegal during the trip.
  • Pay for the trip.
  • Not offer or accept trips with the driver outside the app.
  • Have only one account and not upload false data or someone else's.
  • Not use the driver's data for anything other than the trip.
  • Use reports, safety checks and ratings in good faith.

If you damage or dirty the vehicle, you answer directly to the driver: Viaje Rentable charges no damage or cleaning fees. If you leave something in the vehicle, you can make a trip report. If you travel with an assistance dog, the driver cannot refuse to carry it.

7. Safety

The app has safety features, such as checks during the trip, reports and sharing your trip (see the Viaje Rentable Pasajeros Privacy Policy). We offer them on a best-efforts basis and they do not replace emergency services: if you are in danger, call 911.

8. Ratings

After each trip you rate the driver and they rate you. Drivers see your average, and only our team reads the comments. A rating cannot be changed or deleted. Ratings on their own do not block your account.

9. Blocking and closing your account

We may block your account if you do not comply with these terms, if the driver reports that they did not receive the payment, or while we review a safety problem on a trip.

When we block your account we tell you the reason. If you disagree, you can ask for a review by writing to contacto@viajerentable.com.ar: a person on our team reviews it and decides.

You can stop using the app whenever you want and ask to close your account through the Account deletion procedure.

10. What we answer for

We answer for the app working as these terms describe. The driver makes the trip and answers for the transport.

Times and the quote are estimates, and the final fare is calculated as Section 5 explains. Nothing here limits your rights under Argentine Consumer Protection Law 24.240.

11. Licence and intellectual property

We give you a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms. The app, its brand and its content belong to Viaje Rentable: you may not copy, modify or decompile it, or extract its data by automated means.

12. Privacy and your data

The processing of your data is governed by the Viaje Rentable Pasajeros Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Data controller: Viaje Rentable, the trade name of its sole owner, CUIT 23-39066620-9, Irala 106, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Email: contacto@viajerentable.com.ar.

You can ask us for access to your personal data and for its rectification, update or deletion (Argentine Law 25.326, sections 14 to 16) by writing to contacto@viajerentable.com.ar from the email address you signed in with. You can also withdraw a consent you gave us; without it you may not be able to use the feature that needs it.

The owner of personal data has the right to access it free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as set out in section 14, subsection 3 of Law No. 25.326.

The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP, the Argentine Agency for Access to Public Information), as the supervisory authority of Law No. 25.326, has the power to handle the complaints and claims filed by anyone whose rights are affected by a breach of the rules in force on personal data protection.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Before a change takes effect we tell you in the app and publish the new version on this page. If you disagree, you can stop using the app and close your account; if you keep using it after the change takes effect, you accept it.

14. Governing law and claims

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. If you have a claim, write to us first at contacto@viajerentable.com.ar so we can resolve it. If it is not resolved, you can go to the consumer protection authorities or to the courts of your domicile. Nothing here limits your rights under Argentine Consumer Protection Law 24.240.
