The price the app shows is your gross income. Your net earnings come from subtracting fuel and your vehicle's costs, and counting the kilometers and minutes to the pickup, which cost you too but aren't paid. Two rides at the same price can leave you very different amounts if one makes you drive twice as far to reach the passenger.
$/km and $/hour: two ways to look at the same ride
$/km tells you whether the ride pays for the distance; $/hour, whether it pays for the time it takes. A short, slow ride can have a good $/km and a bad $/hour, or the other way around. Looking at both together keeps you from accepting rides that only look good by one measure.
